Wow, this year is flying by. It seems like only yesterday when we were welcoming our new Tigers into the Pack, and here it is almost February, the Pinewood Derby is over, and we’re getting ready for the Blue & Gold!
As Jen Thomas communicated via email, the annual Blue & Gold Banquet is the “Birthday of Scouting” and is also the culmination of the Scouting careers for our Webelos II Scouts, who will be making the cross-over into Boy Scouts with Troop 107. Scouts from all ranks will be getting the badges they’ve been working so hard on, too. And, of course, we’ll be awarding the winners of the various Pinewood Derby competitions along with a few other awards, announcements, and fun activities.
The Banquet is a true family event, and your encouraged to invite whomever you’d like to celebrate your scout’s achievements!
In order to properly plan the event, though, we need to know in advance how many people we should expect. Please hand in your registration form and your payment on or prior to February 5th (also the date of our Worcester Sharks Sleep-over). You can give it to either your Den Leader, or directly to Jen Thomas.
The Banquet will be on Sunday, February 13th, from 2-4pm at Grafton Elementary School. We’ll be starting right on time, and have a very full agenda, so we’d ask people to please arrive 15-20 minutes early to chat and find your seats. Also, we’d ask that people bring an appetizer of some sort for their tables.
The fees for the event is $6/adult and $5/child.
Please let Jen Thomas know if you have any questions. She can be reached via email at jimjenthomas@hotmail.com or you can call her at 508-887-9694.
