Come join us for a fun camping experience at the Treasure Valley Scout Reservation on April 22ndand 23rd, 2012!
All Cub Scouts at every rank are encouraged to attend. We will enjoy some time outdoors, go on a nice hike, go fishing, cook over a fire, play some games, and sleep over at Treasure Valley’s West Conference Center, plus more! In addition, the marksman event that the boys earned in the Popcorn fund-raiser will be held on Sunday after the sleep-over!
Campers should bring typical hiking and camping gear/attire. The building sleeps about 22 people, but you are also welcome to pitch a tent outside and sleep with nature if you want, too.
Scouts should bring their own Saturday bag lunch and Saturday afternoon snack. However, Saturday dinner, Saturday night snack, and Sunday breakfast will be provided by the Pack. Lunch on Sunday (after the marksman event) will be provided by Council.
This year’s Campout is free to all scouts who participated in the fall popcorn sales campaign! The Pack will cover the costs for 1 parent per scout as well. Additional parents and siblings may attend the happenings on Saturday for free, but there will be a $15 charge per person sleeping over to help cover the food and reservation fee.
Registrations for this event must be submitted via a mysignup form by Friday, April 14th. Boys MUST be accompanied by one of their parents. Please specify whether you want to sleep indoors or outdoors. Both indoor lodging and tent sites will be handled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Given that there is limited room for tents, please try to keep the tent size to a minimum. We’ll do our best to accommodate everyone.
