Let’s just say that the boys of Pack 106 thoroughly enjoyed themselves at the October Pack meeting. Where else would they have the chance to throw a cream pie in the face of an adult!? We are thankful that we have Cubmaster Alderton and Scoutmaster Paquin to fill in such rolls for us. I know most of us are thankful that we haven’t had a pie thrown in our own faces, but the boys get very motivated to sell popcorn to do just this thing!
Not only was Cubmaster Alderton willing to get hit with whipped cream, he also made at least 30 paracord mummies to hand out to boys who have sold more than 20 units. These things are pretty cool if you haven’t seen one yourself!
So far, it seems as if the pack is well on its way towards reaching our goal and going snow tubing next year. But we aren’t there yet! There is still a couple more days to get out there and sell a couple more units.
As for the Community Barn sleepover, kids prove once again that they can sleep anywhere. We watched the movie EPIC and Mrs. Hanna was kind enough to organize and bag up snacks for kids and adults to eat during the movie. (I can’t get enough of those Spongebob Squarepants fruitsnacks. Seriously.)
Last, but not least, Pack 106 enjoyed a wonderful fall hike up to Look Out Rock, which is part of the King Philip Trail in Uxbridge. Pack 107 scouts also joined us! The weather was perfect and no boys fell off the rock (Which had every mom biting their fingernails including me!). It was a good day for all!
