So now that the holidays are winding down we can get back to important Cub Scout work!
We would like to thank the Boy Scouts of Troop 106 for attending our pack meeting as our special guests. The maturity and growth they have shown us over the past 10 months is phenomenal. And we cannot forget the 12 days of Boy Scouting song. What’s up with those snakes!?!?! Great job guys and come back soon!
The popcorn queens also handed out the greatly anticipated popcorn prizes to the boys. While we are still waiting on a few more items, they boys were very thankful and I bet that Robert L. is psyched about his prize for being top seller in the pack! Congratulations!!
As a prize for all, the Snow Tubing event has been planned for Saturday, February 8!! All scouts who participated in the sale are able to go free of charge. Attending parents/siblings are extra. Please see the flyer for full details (The waiver is also required for all participants.) And don’t forget, if you filled out a sheet, you get 2 free tickets to the Worcester Sharks game on Saturday, January 25. If you did not get tickets and would like to purchase some, or extra, please use the Sharks Flyer. For full details of both events, please check out the Popcorn 2013 page.
We hope that everyone enjoyed the infamous OOCH the Yo-yo Guy! He’s always a good time. He showed us insane yo-yo tricks such as the Spinny Thingy. Wait? That’s not a REAL trick? Well he did show us the Sleeper, the Darth Vader, the Elevator, Rock the Baby and you get the jist. The boys love having the yo-yo almost smack themselves in the face, but as always OOCH’s precision is unmatched. We thank OOCH for the awesome presentation and cannot wait for him to come back another time.
The December hike was hard work – the boys had to make their way through 6 inches of untouched snow. For their hard work they were rewarded with 4 hiking miles – and good memories of what seemed like a giant 2 hour snow ball fight !!
Now the race is on to finish your Pinewood Derby Car. Have fun!
