On Sunday, March 20th, the Cub Scouts of the Webelos I Den 1 and the Bear Den visited the Blackstone River and Canal Heritage State Park in Uxbridge for an overview on how they extract Maple sap from the 140 maple trees on the property, and make some neat candies and drinks from it. It was a sunny but chilly day, and all the participants really enjoyed the tour. Some folks even bought “sugaring” materials to use on their own maple trees at home!
