Register with Pack 106!
We have a blast in Pack 106! We hike, go camping, go fishing, play sports, and visit all sorts of cool places! There’s also the ever-popular Pinewood Derby in January, in which boys design, build, decorate, and race their very own cars against other boys in the Pack. And no matter what, we have fun!
A question we sometimes get is “is it too late to register my boy in Scouting?” The answer is a resounding, “no, it’s not too late!” While it’s ideal to have boys join scouting in the fall at registration, they can register any time that works for you! Cub Scouts is open, year-round, to boys who are in First through Fifth grades (6-11 years old).
It’s simple to do, too. Fill out a registration form, and mail it to our Committee Chair, Mike Collins. Please email Mike or our Cubmaster Chris Paquin for Mike’s street address.
The registration fee for new scouts is $47. This pays for the entire scout year, a pack t-shirt, a rank neckerchief, a neckerchief slide, and a rank book. If you’d like to subscribe to Boy’s Life magazine, the Pack will split that cost with you – it’s normally $12, but just add $6 to your check and you’ll be all set.
The rank your boy comes in as will vary according to his age. You can learn more about the ranks here. We will work with you to get your boy into a den with other boys his age. You’ll also need to obtain a uniform of the appropriate type at a local scouting store.
Any questions? That’s what we’re here for! Reach out to any of our leaders about getting into Scouting – it’s a blast!
